Description
This is based on a photo of Eric, a gentleman who was elected Mr Leather of a certain city, few years ago. I drew him before, his face is mesmerizing. I have his permission to make these drawings.
It takes many hours of drawing, layer upon layer of pencil marks gently left on the paper. It’s not “the way” of drawing, it’s only my way. I like to have these long “conversations” with the subject, cleaning my mind and listening to gentle music and the sound of the pencil on the paper.
Reaching dark areas through layering gives the whole drawing a certain texture, a certain volume, different if done in a different way
